My Story

I grew up in a two-parent home as the youngest of 11 children. Our community was close-knit, and church was a central part of our lives. My father served as the chairman of the deacon board, and my parents had a strong relationship with our pastor. We were raised to serve in the church and honor leadership—but not necessarily to have a true relationship with God. Even as a child, I knew there had to be more. Determined to walk with Christ in a way that truly honored Him, I set out on my journey of faith. However, I quickly realized it wouldn’t be easy. After giving my life to the Lord, I found myself repeating generational cycles—having children out of wedlock, struggling with substance abuse, and becoming what I once judged. In my search for transformation, I turned to Romans 12:2, which says, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” This verse challenged me to dig deep into my past, my choices, and my beliefs to align my life with God’s will. As I confronted my past, I realized that true freedom required breaking the cycles of sin and dysfunction that had been passed down through generations. Through prayer, self-reflection, and seeking wisdom from spiritual mentors, I began to uncover the roots of my struggles. I learned that transformation requires honesty, vulnerability, and a willingness to face the truth. The Dig Me Out Movement was born out of this journey—not just as a call to personal growth, but as a mission to break free from the chains of bondage and step into the abundant life God has promised. It’s about uprooting lies, confronting pain, and allowing God to heal, restore, and renew us from the inside out. I am still on this journey of digging, learning, and growing, but I am committed to living a life that honors God, serves others, and fulfills my purpose. I invite you to join me in this movement—to dig deep, break free, and walk in the fullness of God’s love and truth.
